Writing is really therapeutic. I remember writing my first poem (not that I am a poet) after we buried a real good friend of mine. Nothing could shake the heavy burden I was feeling in my heart until I sat at my office desk and just penned my feelings on paper. I don’t think to this day anyone ever saw it, but I remember how relieved I was after that, and then I could go on.
